News 2nd june 2003

the trip to kilmore with our boat was cancelled due to the weather on sunday 1st,so we headed to greystones on 2nd for a few hours fishing.the forcasted force 4-5 was there all right.on our way out to the bouy we decided it was too bad to go any further so we went inshore for a bit of drifting[not that it was less rough inshore]we had a few v-small dabs and some small codling.we made our exit after about to hours before the tide turned and before it go dangerous.

NEWS MAY 2003:
had the boat out for the first time this year on the 28th.myself and jimmy took a trip to the muglins lighthouse, weather was good except for the odd shower.i tried [for the first time in this area] to use the gilling method that eamon hayes showed me and jimmy tried hawkeye lures.all was very quiet but i persisted with my gilling and then it paid off as i got a huge take from what turned out to be a 5pound cod!!! in dublin!!!.it turned out to be the only bit of the day,but well worth it.i was to go to kilmore with my own boat tommorow 1st june but weather looks dodgy,so were off to greystones..regular updates from now on .
